defender 99>> battery earth terminal question?

hi, just a quick question that i know someone will surley be able to help me with please. what size bolt/nut/stud is on the earth terminal of a landrover defender 1999 onwards. is it m6 or m8? really quick answer needed if anyone knows. thanks.

on the battery?

What ever clamp is fitted. They are usually a 13mm spanner/socket for the nut, but the clamp i jus on the end of the wire. Is this what you meant?

yea if i needed to put a ring terminal onto the earth terminal would i need a m6(6mm) or m8(8mm) ring terminal?

erm i think itll be an M8. What i did was...

Replace the clamp with a new one with two bolts to clamp the wires in, and put a ring through them.

With an earth though, the best policy is usually to bolt it to the nearest bit of body, why are you running it back to the battery?
