i have a 90 td5 2000. i have rebuilt all 4 corners with new springs, shocks, grooved discs, calipers, green stuff pads, complete poly bush set, wheel bearings, front swivel housing with bearings, steering shock and hd steering arms with track rod ends.
put it all back together got a new mot but got a vibration under load from about 30 to 40 mph. since that point i have checked wheel bearings again had the wheels balanced and steering aligned, double checked the fixing of the radius arm are the same length, i made up a very primative disc dial gauge (a wooden stand with a piece of batten sitting near the disc and rotate to see if the same distance all show same distance but still vibration.i was thinking of looking at the brakes, binding calipers or brakes out of balance but the vibration is under load not under braking plus it had an mot and no failure or advisory was noted on mot. i would look at things like prop but it was fine before i took it off the road for 2 months to rebuild the 4 corners.
i havent done any other work on the 90 so i think the problem is something i have done.
can anyone help me.

When was the last time prop uj's were greased? If they were dry when parked up for 2 months, may have partially seized.

is it lifted? if it is have you allowed for the castor correction on the radius arms due to the lift? Also, if you have lifted it you will need an adjustable pan hard rod, because it will be 'crabbing'

And like the fellas said, check your UJ's for grease.

If you have checked all that then id lift the front axle, remove prop and engage diff lock. Get a mate to hold onto one wheel while you try to turn the other and check for play in the axle. Then check for play between the diff input and the wheels. Work back methodically and eliminate drive train components.

Is the vibration coming through the steering wheel or physically through the car. I had steering wobble and it was the joint off of the pitman arm... I replaced the pitman arm with the earl disco I type and got a new draglink and all has been fine since.

Wheel bearings spining on stub axle and getting hot perhaps

Yup, sounds like mine when it needs a propshaft joint replacing. Speed specific vibration. You can't always tell they're loose when they're on the car just by hand wobbling them. Stick a screwdriver through the joint and see if they can be levered about (taking care not to damage the seals) and that can sometimes reveal the movement.
