i have a 90 td5 2000. i have rebuilt all 4 corners with new springs, shocks, grooved discs, calipers, green stuff pads, complete poly bush set, wheel bearings, front swivel housing with bearings, steering shock and hd steering arms with track rod ends.
put it all back together got a new mot but got a vibration under load from about 30 to 40 mph. since that point i have checked wheel bearings again had the wheels balanced and steering aligned, double checked the fixing of the radius arm are the same length, i made up a very primative disc dial gauge (a wooden stand with a piece of batten sitting near the disc and rotate to see if the same distance all show same distance but still vibration.i was thinking of looking at the brakes, binding calipers or brakes out of balance but the vibration is under load not under braking plus it had an mot and no failure or advisory was noted on mot. i would look at things like prop but it was fine before i took it off the road for 2 months to rebuild the 4 corners.
i havent done any other work on the 90 so i think the problem is something i have done.
can anyone help me.
