Defender 90 Pros and Cons

Hello there mate welcome to the forum - I'm also in Canterbury :)

Compared to a 'normal' car, a Defender isn't very good to drive. They are quite noisy, not particularly comfortable, and lack the technology and gadgets of modern cars. Having said that, I love my 110 and wouldn't drive anything else. It's a strange affliction, sometimes. :D

Hope you stick around for a while! :)

big breasted women will fall at your feet, offering blow jobs in return for a ride.

just as well you dont make your living from selling rovers ;)

because the truth is, you will be talking rovers to blokes twice your age and you will get old quickly. Your wife will (almost) leave you and you will never buy another make car again. Infact, your next rover will likely be OLDER than the 1st one you ever bought. If you can sustain a conversation about mud terrain tyres for over an hour, you are officially a 'Hick' thats the added bonus.

...thats my experience anyway :blabla:

They have a kind of something greater than the sum of their bolts, plus it's great driving past people in the snow when their cars won't move.

A nice insight into the 4x4 world - however I'm the big busted woman who will surely become a 4x4 widow soon enough lol.

On the plus for me I love (at the moment the idea of) offroading so that is the intention of getting one. Plus always worth trying new things in the great outdoors lol ;-)

Morning are you on good terms with your bank manager?! Iv only had mine since the 2nd of January and it seems to be eating cash!

Wouldnt drive anything else tho now as others said but go for a 110-iv gotta 90 and fitting me, the missus, a 3 year old, twins and their buggy in plus a Patterdale is quite a squeeze!!

Heres hoping ours don't eat money! Why has it cost you so much?
It is only for a toy as we have a car for normal use!

Sonnex. My recommendation is spend as much as you can in the initial purchase and get good base. Otherwise you buy low, spend high to sort out the issues. I guess if you are handy at the messy stuff then you could work it the other way around. Mine is a 2nd car but I drive it more than the new £25k coupe...dont know why but not going to stop. Good luck

ive a 90 and its ****ing awsome i also have a second car a 206 nd once it ****s itself i will never get a car again!!!

Thanks. To be honest that is the plan - we are looking for a good base with a good engine and plan to treat the underside and build her up to our spec. Its going to be a big job but hey at least me and the fella can do it together!

Been i while since I posted on herer - but needless to say we got our 90 and have speced it up - Even taken her for her first run at bethersden.

Such a messy muddy day but oh such fun
