Which side is your air intake on? 200tdi on nearside, 300tdi on offside. Your reg number says it's a 300tdi so I'd check if I was you. Looking forward to seeing some daylight pics as even though I've eaten 10lbs of carrots I still can't see it :p

Pretty sure its a 200tdi yes, how could find out for sure? ive done about 85 in it easily, and i thought 300tdi had top speed of 80? I will try and get more pics on. Im now undecided about alloys, but modulars seem a bit unpractical for heavy road use

If you are going to off road it, stick with the modulars they will take more hammer than alloys which can be prone to cracking or breaking if you hit a rock etc. off road. Alloys are better for road use (allegedly)

I will try and put some decent pictures up soon, if not keep going with the carrots, I meant an A bar on bumper btw. I'm not thinking about too much offroad stuff apart from private land and few lanes haha, modulars do look good though!

Give Post 8 a try Andy, and increase the alcohol intake:eek:

Looks like a 300Tdi, and certainly should be on a 'M' plate!@!

I saw that SH but it's a 'before' picture and I wanted to see the 'after' ones!

As for the alcohol I'm well into my 4th year without a drop so I'll stick to the carrot juice ;) .... my reasons for staying that way can be backed up by some of the late night posts on LZ :D:D

100 is possible i've done it but fook it was scary, big tyres, long run and a small hill though, with abit of tuning ;) it'll be a 300 for that age and where the gears are, air intake on the rear of the turbo 300tdi on the front 200tdi, i think ;) go for modulars, they look good, better offroad and on the road it'll make fook all difference :)

Iv got a set of compamotive 15" on mine they took some hammer I'll tell ya n still going strong I'd say if ur not doing much off road buy what ever you fancy :)

bread basket was off in the first day! aha as for the wheels, might save up for some modulars, what about painting the steels black? and 100mph is crazy :)

My 200tdi will do nearly 90 but I only did it once for about 30 seconds. Any longer and it's likely something will give.

On my way down to billing I was doing 55mph with bursts of 70/80mph for overtaking and about half an hour from my camp site my leg began to burn like it was on fire. Put my hand on the tunnel and it was extremely hot. I changed my oil when I got home and it was like jelly with the distinct smell of burning.

I did an hours journey on the motorway the other day did 65 comfortably the whole way, with bursts of 80 for overtaking, didnt seem to overheat or anything, maybe the previous owner fitted a ferrari engine but didnt tell me :)

spacers, or no spacers? also thinking about removing or blanking egr and decat pipe, opinions? much more performance?

Decat - yes and get rid of the boxes too.
EGR - yes unless it's actually a 200 because you won't have one
Spacers - That's a trickier one. My wheels have a huge off set. I have no spacers on and they are wider than the arches. If you get some deep modulars there's no need. If you want to put some discovery alloys on or something similar then I'd say yes get spacers.

Not a disk lock, just the bar type, but a larger one designed for 4x4's, perhaps not as good as a disk lock but easy to fit and more of a visual deterrent, I think I will get a clutch claw as well, possibly a tracker.

Has anyone declared EGR blanking to insurance company? what do they think about it, I'm 17 and with nfu, not sure how well they'd take it/whether to tell them :)
