As part of a refurb, I removed the fuel tank to inspect and assess its condition. There's a shed-load of surface rust and possibly more significant corrosion between the tank and it's support cradle, plus, along the seam where the two join around the tank.
My question is, can the cradle be detached from the actual tank? On checking parts sites, etc, I can't see the cradle listed as a separate item.
