Behind the fuse box cover which is in front of the gear sticks.

It will have something along the lines of 2 x 21w + 5w blah blah on it (the configuration of the indicator bulbs).

hi thanks for the reply but i already checked there , on the late models they must have stuck it some place else.
rick.

Are you sure it's not there? It's actually behind the fuse panel - you have to remove the cover and then unscrew the metal bracket that holds the fuse carrier, to get access to the relay. It's reddy orange in colour.

Yeah what he says...

To be honest I don't see why they would have moved it from the main fuse box area, would be pretty daft.

Mine is on the left hand side behind the inner metal panel.

I'm having problems with my flashers. When I turn on the left side it flashes and the right side flashes but no as bright. The same happens on the other side. I changed the relay and placed an relay that works with LED lights but I still have the same problem. We checked the ground (earth) but that does not seem to be the problem. I don't know what to do. :(

Well this is a strange one.....
Got an old Td5 defender in & keeps blowing indicator fuse. Put new fuse in, turn key on & pop straight away.
Had a look round which included pulling the flasher unit out. Cleaned the legs & popped back in & tried it.
New fuse, key on, no fuse pop & indicators work.....
Go figure.....

Sounds like you have disturbed the real fault when pulling the relay out, either that or there is something loose in the relay that was shorting the supply and you disturbed that when cleaning the contacts.
