hi i have a defender 90 td5 its dne 125000 miles i have been having trouble with the cooling system it keeps spitting the coolant out of the bottle when it gets up to temp i have changed the water pump, thermostat, top rad hose, radiator, bottle cap,and going to change the heater matrix tomorow has any one had this problem or got any ideas what ealse it could be is there any chance the head gasket could be doing this its doing ma fookin head in

If you're lucky it will be the headgasket. If you're unlucky (as I was) it will be the cylinder head cracked on the inlet side. Everytime the turbo boosts up it opens the crack and overpressurises the system. I decided to get my headgasket done and It didn't show up when I had the head tested and skimmed. 6 months after having the headgasket done it started all over again. I took it back to the engineering company that had done the job and anded up having to get a new head as they had missed the 2 cracks ehen they first tested it. The second crack was in the fuel rail and was causing diesel to be pumped into my header tank.
