hi

I have been thinking about treating my chassis with something like dinitrol for a while and with the dry weather I am thinking now could be the time to do it.

Not settled on what to treat it with but dinitrol seems to be favourite so far but am open to suggestions. Land Rover spends a lot of time off road so whatever it is will have to be tough enough to handle it. I can see wax oil just rubbing off. Chassis has a bit of surface rust but isn’t bad for age (2004) and has and no welding done on it, so far.

I was intending to do it myself, lift up Landrover with forklift or ramps, steam clean with mates steam cleaner and then treat it ourselves. I reckon it will cost about £200 in materials. However I’m always a bit busy and started to wonder about getting someone to do it for me as the prices seem to be about £400 for the full job including materials. Problem is I am struggling to find someone in the Edinburgh/Lothian’s area so wondered if anyone had any suggestions?

I’ve heard of them but I thought they just did sales. Will check them out, have heard that buzz weld stuff is a decent option as well.
