Hi Everyone,

Can anyone clarify what colour the cables should be that feed the switch which operates the interior lights and alarm on the rear door please?

I have looked into this and it says that they should be purple with a blue line, but I can only find 2 purple cables, can anyone shed any light on the subject?

Cheers
Merv

Sometimes the tracer lines are hard to see, especially if the colours are similar.
Someone might have repaired it with different wire. Can you short it to earth and see if the light comes on?

Many thanks for coming back on this have got two different size wires checked with magnifying glass to see if I could see tracer line shorted the smaller wire to earth blew fuse No2 (20amp) in interior fuse board bit unsure about trying other one as its bigger

I'm no auto electrician, but I would be thinking that wire is not connected to any component as it must have created a direct short.
Do you have a multi-meter?
