Defender 90 200tdi Clutch issue

Hi everyone recently just got home following a issue with my clutch where I had to be towed back. Anyway when I was pulling onto a side road my clutch went from working fine to not being able to select any gears. before the issue when I pushed the clutch pedal there was a squeaking that came from the car (does this have anything to do with it) I'm not a mechanic and I'm really new to land rovers, any advise is helpful.

I also checked the hydraulic fluid levels in the master cylinder and it was fine

as in wont press at all,if it is release arm has a habit of wearing through and letting the pivot post push through it,which requires box or engine out

its a bit stiff but not that much more than normal but i can be be pressed in all the way

that might be different then but id think about removing slave and checking though carefully pull it away as you will need to hold push rod so it doesnt pull out
stiffer than normal?

Fingers crossed for you it isn't what James suspects as it is a straight forward job when the G'box is not mated to the engine.

might not be stiffer, I might be imagining things, I'm still getting used to a Land rover and cars

iirc, you can view into the bell housing with a torch (just) when the slave is removed to rule this out?

Start with the basics and bleed the system first to see it resolves the issue
