Defender 90 189'000 mls opinions please

Hi all.
Just need your opinions on a Defender 90 hard top I've seen, it's done 189'000mls do you think it's worth buying one with that much on the clock? Also it has to be one of the most kitted out ones I've seen, it has just about everything done to it you could want! Its a Td5

To be honest most defenders at the mileage have had everything replaced, its really not about the miles but more about the condition. Check for excessive play in the drivetrain, oil leaks on engine/boxes and smoke on startup (make sure its cold when you get to it), as long as its in decent condition there is nothing to worry about with the mileage, my last 90 was 179K but drove like 100K

chassis bulkhead chassis bulkhead chassis, eveything else can be (or already has been) replaced.

Just make sure its not a tired old hack with lots of shiny bits bolted on......

Mine is a similar mileage and has been rebuilt by a previous owner ( 'as new' chassis and galv. bulkhead + 200 tdi ) ...plus I've done a lot to her as well....absolutely superb now

Very important that it should leak plenty of oil and generate a lot of smoke on starting. Otherwise it could be a Range Rover.

Thats been up for sale on eBay for a while now for 11K

The guy is also a member on here i think, or was. He has a 110DC thats got alot of stuff bolted to it as well i think.

Mines had 155k and had Fook ALL done to it. and it's a complete rotbox.
