Hi folks firstly i have searched but not found much to help me.
I've finally got my hands on a decent 200tdi out of a defender along with inter cooler, rad, hoses and air filter housing.
I'm missing the down pipe for the 200tdi and the hoses for the oil cooler. Will the down pipe and oil cooler hoses on my 19J fit the 200tdi?
Also will the rad and inter cooler just swap in where the existing rad is?
I want to have all the parts for the swap to get it all done in one go.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure on the cooler but pretty certain downpipe is the same part number

Cheers for that. I look through the parts diagrams for the oil cooler. Cheers for the help!

Cheers for the info. Didn't get the frame for the rad. Will check to see how much modification is needed.

What parts are actually worth keeping from the 19J that I can keep as spares for my 200tdi?
Alternator, Starter, Lift pump anything else??

Oil cooler pipes on a 200tdi a little eye watering as new radiators have the later o ring type. You can save Starter motor, alternator, PAS pump +pipes, Lift pump (but at £20 for a new one I would not bother) Engine mounts (£70) Alternator/PAS bracket £300 new but unavalible

Thanks for that. I'll keep most of that and do some checking of part numbers to see what else may come in handy.
Just ordered my engine crane and paint for the engine might get to do a bit more this weekend.

So I've finally gotten the 200tdi mounted into the 110. Just sorting out the mismatch of fuel pipes and air. I had started to paint bits and pieces from the engine but the paint needed to be sprayed and I just haven't got the time or area to spray paint. So the pulleys, alternator and a few other bits are painted brilliant orange.
Here are the main issues I'm having;
I didn't receive the 200tdi fuel housing so used the 2.5TD one and there are more outlets on the td housing. From my best searching I can use the original housing but block off the unused ports and get the right bolts. My main problem is with the fuel return and injector spill lines as I don't have the Y shaped banjo can I use a standard banjo and put a T piece in the line to take the spill line?
My next main issue is the air filter set up. I was hoping to use the original air filter housing as the one I was given is missing the mounting bracket but hopefully between all the silicone hoses and bits of pipework i have hopefully I should get that.

All done and running nicely. Had trouble getting the fuel line parts sorted but a local garage that used to dabble in Land Rovers came up trumps with the parts. Ended up using the original TD air filter housing it was simpler to use it than fiddle around with the new one.
