Good morning,

I have been asked to do a body swap on a companies marketing vehicle which is based on a 2.4 Double Cab Puma.

They have asked for a newer vehicle underneath.

I have 2 options

1. To remove all of the bodykit etc and put onto any year 110

or

2. just lift the whole body and place on a newer chassis/platform and engine.

Is it possible to swap a 2.4 110 body onto a 2.4 without running into a maze of electrical issues?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Seems like an awful lot of work for very very little gain. Afaik there is little difference inside or out with the 2.2 and 2.4. Just with the 2.2 being slightly better.

Thanks Wimblodriver that was the confirmation i was looking for.

I will either look to get a mother 2.4 with sub 30,000 miles or a later 2.2 and remove the body panels etc.

The current vehicle has spent a lot of its life on beaches etc so there is no chassis rot as such but certainly the starts. It has covered 130,000 miles. So to swap for a chassis/engine/gearbox that is 3 years newer and with over 100,000 miles less is good for me.

The engine swap etc is a great idea and what i was thinking but feel that the amount of time to swap engine/gearbox etc wont be a million miles away from swapping the shell. And my concern is in a couple of years i may be getting a call to swap the chassis etc.

The front section of the vehicle is basically bolt on parts and can be swapped easily. My concern is what they have done to the rear tub etc in terms of welding which could make life difficult.

Thanks for all of the advice
