Defender 110 wiper wires

Green Brown should, I think be treated as the 12V supply although the manuals have it as plain green). Turn the ignition on and see if you get 12V from it.

Now, take the disconnected wiper switch and your resistance/continuity tester.

Let's guess that pin 1 is 12V in. If that's right, then by connecting one lead on the tester to that then you should see no volts on any other terminal.

Next, hold the switch in each position, and make a note of which pin has it's circuit closed, and write it down.

Once that's done - Green/Brown to Pin 1 and away you go.

White Green is intermittent wipe

Yellow Green is Slow wipe

Blue Green is Fast wipe

Red Green is Flick wipe

Green Black is washer


On the other hand. If pin 1 wasn't 12V in, you'll need to go through the switch operations one at a time to find out which pin connects to all of the other contacts when each function of the switch is used.

Lastly, if you get a smoke leak, I must still be ****ed.
 
Ok thanks will giv it a go,thought maybe someone on here may have renewed one and could look at the old one as it would only take 2 secs,Looked at heaps on ebay but all the pics are the wrong way round so i cant see the wires,TYPICAL ,Will prob torch the 110 now !!
