defender 110 knock

hi everyone i have just bought another 110 but its got a knock when i let the clutch out it seems to be coming from the front so i checked the front prop and with the hand brake on and in nutral i can turn the front prop at least half to three quaters of a turn which i think is a lot of play .so do i need to be looking at the diff or the transfer box as i dont have a clue where to look first

look where most movement is!

assuming your centre diff was unlocked when you checked, the play will be propshaft forwards...

hi it was in hi but not in diff lock so that means the front diff

propshaft, diff, cv's...

just work you way from the transfer box to the wheel!

Youve got this posted 2 places!! Try simple things 1st, UJ's are cheap, get new ones on and see how you go...
