Good Evening All,

My Defender 110 CSW 200TDI had a new rear cross member fitted prior to me buying it and finally needed to jack up the back of the Landy due to slow puncture. Unfortunately, the Bloody jack won't fit into the new cross member hole???? WHY?????????

Any suggestions and solutions.

Hi,

I think so, black in plastic sleave/bag with a large foot plate and small rachet handle that fits in top. Fits front 2 holes on Landy as needed to change front wheels due to rusty rims wrecking inner tubes!!!!!

i got a little bottle jack out of a disco much quicker to use just get bit more dirty.
when you say wont go in do u mean in the hole you mean not at all or not right in?

Won't go in at all. Tried bashing it in clearing edge of holes, etc. not a chance. Don't think it would go in if I used a lump hammer?

I'd stick with a bottle jack if your just changing a wheel, given your lifting from the axle you wont have to wait for the springs to decompress before the wheel lifts off the ground unlike a the standard defender/hi-lift jack, there also more stable too.

Not been heavily painted with underseal or out and with regards to greasing, I don't think a tub of KY jelly and a lump hammer would get it in!!!
I think a bottle jacks the answer. Any suggestions on best place and price? Standard 110 suspension and wheels.
Thanks
