My Defender has been parked for a while waiting for a major service to the engine, transfer case and transmission. Finally got tired of seeing it just sitting and got her back on the road! Still needs some work, but it's running well and super happy to be driving it again!

Hi, looks absolutely amazing and, tbh, I'm very jealous! The 110 looks great, as well...;)
Happy island motoring...

No - the bonnet opens with a lever under the dash on the drivers side and a second release lever under the front edge of the bonnet - just under the 2nd 'E' in 'DEFENDER'. The grill is cracking up and falling apart. It looks like the previous owner has glued some of the slats back into place - but now I have lost one and there are several others with cracks in them getting ready to fall out.

I am looking at replacement options. I like the looks of this one from TMD (https://tmdtuning.com/shop/tmd-genesis-2-grille/) and also one I saw from 110 Technik (https://www.flickr.com/photos/153177173@N08/sets/72157691290413312/). Does anyone have experience with either of these?

£600 for that genesis grill??

I was just messing about with some scrap steel, a hole saw, some mesh and bits of paint and I knocked this up..

got to be at least £800

Scooby22 - that first link looks a lot like the one from 110Technik. Interesting - thank you for the link!

The Mad Hat Man - that is in front of my office in Secret Harbour, Mt. Hartman Bay. The Old Boathouse - not a bad spot.

Mad Hat Man - Mt. Hartman Bay is just at the south end of the island. Not too far from St. Georges. The whole island is beautiful though as I'm sure you know. Let me know next time you get to the island - would be great to get together for a Rum Punch and some Land Rover talk!

Frog Hopper - yeah have to watch out for those coconuts! I haven't had one hit the truck yet but I don't usually park there and I try to be sure to cut them down before they fall...
