I have recently become the proud owner of a Defender 110 (300TDI), with 90K on the clock, so I am afraid I am little new to all this, please forgive me!
Unfortunately she has developed a ' ticking fault' coming from the front left hand side of the engine (when facing the engine). I have my suspicions that it is a faulty Vacuum pump and have noticed other threads advising on this. However I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on how I could confirm this is the fault before splashing out on a replacement pump?
Any advice on confirming the fault and tips for repair would be most appreciated.
