Found out today at 1600 my 89(F) 90 was stolen last night from my mates yard in grazeley near reading not the best looking one but like most of you spend hours and hours mending and repairing it
think they used it to tow away a strange small pickup truck with a crane in the back because thats missing too
but lucky for me the police found my landy late last night but i cant collect it till the police have finished with it
so now i cant wait to see it to see if any of my new parts, hi lift jack, offroad gear and my tools are left
like i say its not the best looking 90 or best running (even though i fitted a 200 tdi) maybe thats why they dumped it oh it has 3/4 full of fuel too

If its the same Reading garage who recovered mine to the Police compound they are a right grumpy/unhelpful lot!!. Glad its been found

mendem motors recovered it from a ditch it was towing the small truck but missing the hiab crane still waiting for police to have a look i tried to have a look to see the condition and tools and stuff is left but they would not even let me look at it :(

picked up my landy yesterday it was used to knick the tiny crane truck my landy was found in a ditch with the truck attached by a ratchet strap shame the trucked had smashed in the back of the landy but just smashed lights and few dents flat battery smashed ign and broken door lock to my amazement nothing was missing at all all my tools and stuff even my brand new hilift jack Gerry can of diesel think coz they lost it in the ditch they just left it otherwise id probably never seen it again :) cost me £170 to get it back from the recovery people

its pants that you have to pay to get your veh back, its not like its your fault

Why's that?

Would you rather the police leave where it's dumped so it gets nicked again or torched? in 9 out of 10 cases the insurance would cover the recovery charge rather tha the owner. It's only cos he aint claiming that he had to pay. (the last sentence is only what I am assuming).

Glad you got it back and your stuff all there, would have kept an eye open for it as I trundle about the area. Last time my parents had a car nicked, it was recovered with a set of new tyres on it and the stereo had been replaced with a better one:eek:

The reason i did not go through my insurance is because my excess is much more than £170 and i wanted it back asap so the insurance would not take it and have it for months my insurance company have not even spoke to me about the landrover since i rang them last monday to report it stolen not really impressed with them (
