Evening all, I have tried the search feature to no avail so I am hoping the wealth of knowledge on here will help. As the title suggests will a 300tdi defender alternator fit my 200tdi discovery if I change the pulleys over? What my main concern is will the pulleys/belt still be aligned? Has anyone done this before?

Hi Elkie. Its two years later since you posted your query, but I'l llet you know tomorrow night! I'm trying to fit a Marelli with M belt drive to my old 110 with the v belt pulleys. I saw folks here dont think it will work, but god loves a trier!

I have a defender alternator in my 200. Simply change pulley and clock the body by undoing the three case bolts and turning the body around to make the brackets work.

I have posted it somewhere, I will have a look.
