Decisions Decisions!

Hi all,

I'm after my first Landy, and I'm aiming for a Defender 90 CSW. I have £5k to play with and a Celica to P/X against it.

I've seen three (am I allowed to post the links up here?) that I'm interested in that run down like this:
1994 'L' 300Tdi, 120k, FSH, 12m P&L Warranty, Roof Rack, A-Bar, Spots. £4995
1995 'N' 300Tdi, 92k, Some SH, Some Warranty, £5200
1998 'R' 300Tdi, 101k, FLRSH, 12m P&L Warranty. £5995

From the above, does any one of them stand out against the other two in your collective expert opinion?

post some links, specs and prices dont mean anything, they could all be manky dog eared rust buckets

Even still they look a bit on the pricey side - just make sure they give you a good "price to change" as that is really top dollar!

OK some links below. This will be my only transport and commuter and I don't mind paying a bit more for the peace of mind a warranty etc brings, especially as this is my first dabble. Am I being a bit naive though?

I think the second one is (just judging from the photo) an ebay seller called something like Yanthelandyman who i think had quite a good reputation, but a bit on the pricey side - although by all accounts he sources good cars.

ps top tip, for that kind of price you should be able to get one with a galvanised chassis - bulkhead and chassis are the most important bits and will probably start to need work at that age - anything else is pretty much replaceable, but the chassis is the showstopper! It would be well worth the wait if one comes along!

Excellent, thanks for that. I'm lucky in as much as I don't have to buy, and I'm willing to trek around on the weekend, so I can take my time to find 'the one'. The money is whispering to me from under the bed though

they all seem to be asking top dollar,for that price you should be able to get one with a few more toys on it,plus its a buyers market so if u really fancy one of them try a silly offer.

number 2 looks the best in my opinion
