...AAGGGHHHH !...my defender 90 is almost up to 3 years old...having it serviced now by a 'proper' land rover man rather than paying 3 times the amount to have it done by a Dealership. He advised me of a few things i need to get done before the warranty expired. With list in hand i took it back and presented it to the dealer. After walking into the office with his mates and making a remark about .." feckin bloke outside with a list..." and then some laughter, he then walked past me without a word beckoning me to follow him" You are not covered for the 6 year warranty corrosion now..you know that dont you as you have not had it serviced with us? " was his opening , surly, remark . Rusty bolts etc they tutted but agreed they would change it.But the issue is my rear step. Its pulling away from the body ( a 'common' problem as confirmed by my man and the guy in the dealership. However Land Rover are refusing to change this as they regard it as wear and tear!?...its only done 14k miles for christsake!...This is end of a massive list of problems I have had with LR.
Everything about Land Rovers after sales is as crap as you will ever get from a manufacturer. I would have decked the prat there and then but for the fact that my new Range Rover was in for a product recall and I did not want the arsehole sabotaging it.
Thats it you bastards. No more Land Rovers for me.

...and whats more...my Lanny man told me the Range Rover "sounded sick" and that I should get them to look at it.So I said to the Dealerprat that while he was lfixing the recall ( air suspension are something) could he check out the noise..." whadyamean it does not sound right- can you be more specific" ?" he said..." ..I dont know mate-you are the mechanic-you tell me"
The next day I left them the RR and he phoned me at work.." we need to keep the car for another day..it does sound sick"...." what is it?" I asked ....."dunno"...he said "...it just sounds sick". And they had the front to charge me for a hire car for two days!

...the £unt :)

get your vehicles out of there, plant one on him and complain to LR HQ. tell them your not happy with the service that dealership was offering and that the person you spoke to was rude, abrupt, incompetent (any more big words?) etc. also get his name. if hes not wearing a badge. ask him. that will scare him, tell him the truth (after you have your landrovers back) that your going to make an official complaint about the service and his ability to perform as a salesman/manager etc. to LR HQ.

that should do something. if it doesnt, see what LR HQ turn up with.
