Normally £123.99 !!WTF for 5L reduced to £39 plus P&P in easter sale,
PMSL I'd give MIL a swerve if I were you!

£34 everywhere else all year round.....

Definitely check Opie oils as they often have decent prices on Millers Oils, again long established British firm.
Another is Morris, been around since time began, used a lot in commercials, there 5l are reasonable and again very good quality.

Related (happy to start new post if more appropriate)...
But I'm looking at the first oil change for my new (to me) LR2 and found this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155489214398
6l Miller C1 5w30 fully synth oil, Mann filter and new plug... £62, incl. delivery.
The listing says SD4, but pretty sure this is all correct for TD4 too(?)

I was looking at 25l of morris C1 oil but even in bulk the price with plug and filter was about the same so what's the catch?
Has anyone ever bought these ebay kits before? Good/bad?

Don’t normally buy kits, tend to buy oil separate to rest of any service parts, Morris don’t tend to do big discounts anyway, may save few pence buying 25l but it’s convenient if for next time etc but your also paying for a company with long history of knowing what it’s doing, as said in previous post Morris supply a huge amounts to industry different oils too, engine, transmission, hydraulic etc.

Also oil has gone right up in price, mate of mine who’s a mechanic said but ago what he paid for 45Gal drum about £4-500 is now about £900-1000 depending on spec.

I know from experience that heating oil is all over the shop at the moment but crude oil drum price looks to have settled back to end-21 levels, maybe the manufacturer's will eventually reduce their prices back to reflect this... :D
Fwiw - on Morris' site at the moment, C1 work out to about £10.77 a litre if bought in single 5l, or £8.42 if you buy the 25l biggun.

I might try a kit with the Miller oil, buying filter and oil (in bulk) separately will be about the same price in the end, but without the large initial outlay.

Fair enough, Millers is a good name, used it myself many times, what I seem to see is both Millers and Morris seem to spend a lot less on advertising than any other brand names, but either one will work just fine.
Manufacturers lowering the price due to oil price.. doubt it, same as gas and electric that goes down but we don’t save anything.

Quite often the total opposite with ECP, workmate swore blind they were the best prices as they supplied all the parts to a BT workshop he previously worked for, but over a year or so he saw they were robbing him, I did tell him a few times!

that a why you have to keep on good terms with the mgr, head office start to uplift your trade discount automatically, if you spend enough the discount is same as every other trade supplier

I went in there once about 10 years ago I wanted a set of brake pads for the wife's Audi A6 the guy behind the counter said £96 for one axle set of pads, I laughed and walked off he called after me and said how much do you want to pay? I just carried on walking.
I absolutely hate it when I get the feeling someone is trying to fleece me on the price of anything, does not matter whether it is a chocolate bar or a clutch.
