Dead windows? and no temp gauge.

Ive got a 200tdi disco (that someone had badly fitted a 300tdi dash and interior into) when I went to put the passenger window up it slowed right down then stopped working but the drivers side still work until about 20 minutes later and now that is dead too.
All fuses are ok, so Im thinking relay? is the window relay under the steering wheel? which one is it?
Any suggestions except burn it:D

Also the temperature gauge doesnt work it doesnt even move off cold, is this likely to be temp sensor?
 
who knows with that!
depends what other bits have been swapped from the 300.
the 300 has a window ecu in the passenger footwell that does suffer
dry joints. not sure what the 200 uses.
its one of those where you'd have to see it, an even then it could
be a right nitemare
 
Im hoping its all 200 electrics still, got a disco at work minus an engine so gonna speak to my gaffa and see if I can have all the 200tdi dash and fit it all properly.:doh:
 
200 has no window control, just switches.

Check the window earths, under the centre console theres a big black bracket at the back that supports the cubby box area. Where this is screwed down there are two big earths in there as well. Proper after thought that one :D

Anyway, check them cos that's an obvious shout!
 
Take the temp gauge wire off, and touch against the block. If the needle jumps up to max temp then your system is good, just fit a new temp sensor.
