The engine of my Sereies IIA1962 has developed a 'trough' in the engine block between the two centre cylinders.
If it was in the head, it is easily taken away to be machined - but the block!!

Any (helpful) suggestions to repair it?

Somebody suggested using 'Celit', but were not sure if it was made any more.
Anyone heard of 'Celit'?

My alternative is to import one from the UK :(
The freight plus duties etc make this a touch on the prohbitive side. I's be better buying a IIA and exporting that and usine the one I have as spares.

Unfortunately no pictures at present, will try and get some.
I am new to the forum and have not tackled posting pictures .

The gases are blowing between the two centre cylinders as there is a shallow wear/gouge (+/- 1/2" wide and a few thou very well deep) as the gasket blew at that point in the engine and the hot compressed gases wore away the metal.
I could not understand the loss of power at the time.
A mechanic (?) apparantly 'filled' the gap with an extra bit of gasket.
This obviously blew out and made the whole thing worse.
