not if your running lpg and present it on lpg .
rick.

think up to july 1992 no cats is fine!

mine is 1996 but as i run lpg it has a non cat test.
I removed my cats and fitted K+N filter, plodding around town is fantastic as the noise from the exhahst makes me smile and on motorways at higher engine speeds the extra breathing realy makes a very noticable difference.....im realy happy i did it!

I'm with Red on this one. 3.9 on LPG, no cat, Rimmer Bros tubular headers, standard centre pipe and sebring stainless sports back box. Sounds very subtle and has a nice induction snort through the K&N. A Disco TD5 back box gives it an even nicer sound though...

mines actually quite loud, the rear section has NO box, standard centre ATS box but you can see daylight through it, it dont have baffles, perforated pipes slightly ofsett, and with no cats is realy rumbles, well burbles, V8 burble!

oh and i spent a good month ar so trying to source some 4 branch manifolds only to find the 4.6 has them as standard! Doh! (well mine does!)

I asked my local mot station about this last week, they said that it is a grey area but as the car starts on petrol and can be switched onto petrol at any time then if cats were originally fitted they needed to be on when submitted for mot, they also said that due to the reasons already stated they could do an emmisions test on petrol and fail the car if it wasn`t right.

thankfully my local MOT centre assume the grey area is shaded to suite my de-cattted R/R.

mine goes onto lpg as soon as it fires up on petrol so i spose they could be picky
