Dashboard

Hi can anyone help just got a 04 discovery yesterday and there was back tape approx 5ins away from the windscreen took it off to reveal the end of the vinyl and some screw heads does anyone know if it should have a trim or what it is called

Dunno, no idea. A picture or a better description of exactly where the offending screw are might help a bit.

They don't look like anything that was there at manufacture. There are no screws there normally, so I would say that it's something which has been done (a bit shoddily) by a previous owner.
There might be one of two reasons, either they're there to hold something inside the dashboard or, more likely there was a bit of a rattle from the trim in that area so they bunged a couple of screws in it.
If the second reason is the one, then I would advise that you either find out what was rattling or change the screws for something a little less obtrusive.
