Now anyone who has had the, ahem, pleasure of helping me out over the past few weeks of Rangie ownership will know that my L322 relationship has had it's own fair share of ups and downs due to me not knowing what I was really taking on but this new post should make you chuckle.

If you remember my first original posts about the hdc failsafe etc etc, I wept into my keyboard whilst running to you guys about various bits and we've moved on from alternators to my recent gearbox niggles but this morning's new chapter of ownership made me smile, well when my bum stopped twitching it made me smile.

As we all know these things are like the Starship Enterprise and there's lights and things all over the place and when you've had a breakdown and warning messages going off, there's going to be a little paranoia left behind even after a few hundred miles of happy motoring. Well this morning I was looking forward to my first heated seats journey to work since last owning a posh Discovery and after starting up I was greeted with a Ping on the dashboard. A new ping, a scary ping. A ping that meant ........ it was minus two outside!!!! Thank God, a friendly warning, me and the Rangie bonding over my safety bless her. Still scared the beejeebers out of me though
