. The great thing is I rebuilt her onto a new galvanised chassis 6yrs ago, so structurally she's sound at least, but she's not been touched for 6yrs now by the last owner, so she's got lots of little stuff to sort through. Then a respray and she'll be beautiful once more..
So 3 1/2 hours from us then, as we are in the Montagne Noire about 45 mins north of Carcassonne.
According to a mate who lives near Poitiers it seems to depend on how much of a bell end the testers is. Which is kind of like it is over here. My tester and I do the car together and last time he tested the wife's car the ARB links were loose. I said "Is that a fail?" he said "No, it's an advisory, but I won't put it on the ticket as I've just "advised you"!!" The guy in the office doing the paperwork wanted to know if it had passed before it have even been on the rollers, but he still shouted through "Yep it's passed" I fell about laughing. The brakes were OK as he knew they would be cos we have known each other for years.Yeah mate, been here full time for 10yrs now and loving it.. also the CT here is much less strict than the UK MOT, my baby passed its CT 3days ago with leaks everywhere, dodgy headlights and it didn't even have a rear windscreen
