Hi all,
I’m new to this but here goes, so when I go to press my brake to release the park brake on my disco the abs, traction control, park brake and suspension lights all in amber come up on the dashboard, it even happens whilst I drive and I haven’t a clue to why this happens, also the HDC comes up and says special programs off suspension lowered, can anyone possibly point me the right direction, thank you. The year is 2006 and it’s a 2.7 TDV6.

Hi, the right direction will be pointed by the stored fault code so do somehow to read that with a compatible scanner
Hi, thank you for replying to my question, we have had scanners or code readers on the vehicle and every time it has come up with different ones so it’s like guess work at the moment, hopefully we can find the actual issue.

Ok thank you and I may sound stupid saying this but does/should your local garage have one of these or will I have to take it to a specialist to get one?

Most garages will have the ability to read codes from multiple modules (there are over 35 in a D3) in the vehicle.
Something else to look at us the battery. These vehicles are very heavy on the battery, and any battery over 4 years old is going to be causing its own issues, as low voltage effects many systems.

In my experience, a D3 needs to be owned by someone skilled in repairs, and have the equipment necessary to carry out said repairs, if a very expensive experience is to be avoided.
