The two red dashboard lights to the right of the speedo on my 300TDi, a red image of a battery and a red image of a car overlaid by an image of a key, light up, when I turn on but go out when I try to start. The car fails to start. I have grown familiar with the battery image over the twenty years I've had the car, but the car/key symbol has me beat. The otherwise excellent owner manual says, "go to a garage." My regular garage cant identify the fault; says it is probably associated with the vehicle security system, notorious for behaving strangely. Help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
