Hi All

My first post, but have been lurking for a while, but never needed to post before.

It's a 96 2.5DSE - Tallulah to her friends

When started it shows the ABS lamp, and also the brake symbols with the exclamation mark comes on.

After pulling away the ABS lamp goes off, which I believe is correct. I'm alos getting a waring at start and switch off that says low brake fluid, checked (when running) and fine, bridged connector on float sensor but no different.

Any ideas, unfortunately my diagnostic reader is OBD11 so no good.

Thanks

The P38 wasn't OBD compliant (apart from the Petrol Engine ECUs which were EOBD compliant) so as you say the stand OBDII is not good for the Range Rover!

ABS Lamp and etc is normal and should extinguish after 5-7mph....

As for the Brake Level Warning Switch this is plumbed through the BeCM and also the ABS ECU and the ABS Pressure Switch...as I can see it, the ABS ECU provides a Path for the Fluid Level Switch and also on the same splice for the Pressure Switch - bridging the contacts may not give the result you want! EDIT: although relooking at it - it should do!!

Do you have RAVE manuals (can be found in Wammers Compressor How To in the How To section)...take a look at the schematic for the ABS system and see if you can figure out the correct mode of operation and bridge accordingly!
