Dash lights on all the time and oil leaks.

Hi on way to a job this morning when the warning chimes went of and the ABS.TC and HDC lights lit up since then the've stayed on. Also about two weeks ago i noticed the near side back wheel was slowly gaining a layer of oil over it on the inside could these two problems be connected?
Spoke to the guys at famous four the other day about my oil leak in the back axle and they said i would have to buy a new hub because they can't be re-sealed is this true or are the pulling my leg? Any info/advice would be very welcome.

Yes Famous Four are correct(why would they pull your leg?)new hub is about £200 and contains the wheel bearings etc
