Series 3 Dash Lighting

Hi, my instrument panel lights on the dash have never worked - I've opened it up today and replaced the bulbs but not sure which wires should be going where - there's a red and white one not going anywhere at the moment.

All the other lights on the dash work - it's just the two used to illuminate when dark.

Pic attached - any help would be much appreciated.

They should be wired to come on the same time as the rear lights, so if one of those wires does that try it, the other could be earth but check first.

you may have a switch to turn off dash lights

Had a another look this evening - turns out it's just a dodgy toggle/switch.

Still not sure what the random RW is for.

Have attached wiring diagram if anybody needs for future reference.
