:) Just joined so apologies if this reaches you through the wrong channels.
Just got a problem with 1998 P38 2.5 DSE, which started when 2 of the bulbs illuminating the odometer appeared to have blown. I removed the speedo pod and replaced the three bulbs. :confused:Didn't disconnect battery first as perhaps I should have. After reconnecting the two sockets, bulbs did not illuminate, checked them and swapped them with indicator and main beam bulbs. Info panel still didn't light up but indicators etc did work, so bulbs OK. Now the back lighting on the HVAC panel isn't working either. No fuses blown. Anyone any ideas please, and layman's terms if possible I'm not too technical

Hi and thanx DATATEK
Checked the dimmer and this seems to work ok as all other dash lighting is working. It's just the info display in the centre that tells you door open, mileage, MPG what gear is selected etc that isn't illuminating, I get all the "beeps" for messaging but can't see them, also the backlighting on the HVAC panel. The HVAC is working but you can't see it unless you shine a torch on it

So just sounds like duff lamps, did you fit the correct ones? Otherwise bad connections somewhere, have a look at RAVE for wiring/fuse details.
