Its fecking **** when you get crappy problems. It's hard to help when someone else is doing the work. "Tested pressures" lol sorry is that wot he told you? wot that means; he pulled of the rubber fuel pipe 'and he seen fuel'. no need for tests! its either getting fuel OR it isn't.

Can't really help as someone else is trying to fix it.

GL hope the new garage gets it sorted.

Thanks and so much has been looked at! Apaz the injectors are shutting off when engine cranks some kinda immobiliser crap

Shall keep it posted as I never found a solution to this problem and would like to think someone else could benefit from this forum post.

Thanks for all the help :) this forums a credit to all alandrover owners!

Not sure if this will help at all but from my own experience...

If i've opened the car without using the fob (just key) and tried to start (no immobilisation code sent) then it won't even turn over. The lights come on but nothing happens when trying to start it.

Only if the immobilisation code has been sent correctly will the car even try to turn over.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong but this may rule out the immobiliser.

Just re-read the thread and noticed Northern Irelander and Darmain had ruled out the immobiliser.

Not sure?

Do you mean unlocking using the four digit code sequence?

bottom line, garage should be sorting the problem out, not mtonks,

take it to another garage with full diagnostics and fob reset

landrover garage said this modle (2003) doesnt have a 4 digit code and it's all in the chip in the key fob or somthing

its going to the garage tommorow and work starting tuesday.

FACT: injectors aren't allowing fuel to engine - they turn off when cranking.

Immobiliser codes had been erased from the enginge managment, so when key was inserted code wasn't been picked up.
Apparently without the correct code the immobilisation system works by turning off the injectors and the fuel pump

Ended up costing just £88.00

Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem :)

Thanks to the forum again for everyone who helped
