Under my landy
Series has become my daily drive for now as i sold my Disco and Spitfire isn't quite finished yet... I was a bit unsure about the idea, it's designed for off-roading, but, I'm loving it! Bouncing along, trundling along motorways and country roads! Great fun :)

Bit concerned that everything seems to be working and going well, sure that's never a good thing! But, i'm off laning on Sunday so that may change that!

:nothingtoadd:

Does it take 45 mins --> hour each way though!?

It seems to be doing really well on the MPG too - very approximately 150 miles on just over £20 :)

Twice a week an hour each way.......rest of the week where ever i'm working, often dragging sand/cement/blocks behind and then of course there's Dads Taxi Service (available 24hrs, 7days a week without notice).... sometimes.....not often but sometimes I get to have a play in her as well :D

Used to work in Scotland and used my Series I both for the weekly commute and for daily use whilst I was there. She never missed a beat!

I use my 82 S3 LWB as a daily driver, 100 miles/week as she's never let me down. Petrol not cheap though:eek:

Glad to see so many people using them for descent daily drives :) It is very satisfying driving around :)

Had a 90 as my daily drive when i was 17 for a few years... i'm afraid to say it's not a patch on having a Series as a daily drive - the 90 is just like a modern vehicle, the Series is a living beast :)

90 like a modern vehicle:D:D sorry :D:D
Slow crude, crap, leaks in and out just like a series:)

I've been planning on it for ages, since the focus decided to catastrophically fail its MOT, it's been "the landy will be running very soon, not much to do..."

Ended up buying a £100 Hyundai accident on Friday, and now the engine decides to actually play ball....

Series is my only vehicle so I,ve no choice. Was going to swap for a 300tdi Disco but apparently clean license since 1982 and no claims donn,t seem to matter if you,ve been on bikes for 4 years and not insured a car
Got to confess though driving the 109 every day does put a stupid grin on my face :D

I often do the 120 mile round trip to work in my 2a V8 instead of the disco, makes a change to be able to actually overtake something! Any excuse to get out in it really as I luv it :D

I use my series 3 109 to drive to work with all the equipment. I use it whilst at work dragging logs ( and the tea room in the back ) and driving home again with tools and logs usually. only bit bumpy and loud but all part of the fun!
