Hi all,

I currently have:
- Landy Series IIa 2.25 Petrol
- Daihatsu FourTrak 2.8D

Can anyone tell me if I can put both the gearbox & engine from the Daihatsu into my Landy, while keeping the Landy Transfer Box as I have a P.T.O. from the box to my winch.

If not, what are the alternatives for me to be able to keep the winch?

Also, does anyone know what exactly is included in the "MCK 2" Conversion Kit from http://www.engineconversions.co.uk/landrover.html ?

Cheers,

Alan.

Alanex, a friend of mine did a Daihatsu 2.5 litre conversion on his series 3 Land Rover, he had to use the Land Rover gearbox.
Generally the conversion kit is the adaptor plate, to mate the Daihatsu engine to the Land Rover bell housing and bits to adapt the engine mounts to the Daihatsu engine. Kind regards....Ron
