Daft drum brake question..

Which way do I turn the snail cams on the back of the Salisbury axle?

I know that if I jack it up and try one way it will either stop if it's the wrong way or keep going if it's too worn out. I recall having trouble a couple of years ago with my old drums. I just wondered which way I should be turning before I go attempt it.

anti clockwise as you look at hub cap, often shoes are fitted wrong ie shoe post isnt exactly in line with center of snail
