Agreed; it's going to have to wait until I have a complete day to devote to it, though, just in case it does take all day. I'm not nearly as flexible as I once was, to be able to get at awkward and hard to reach places (such as the headers in the wiring path)

If the fuse doesnt blow again let it be cos there are cases when a fuse blows just like that together with a bulb without any short on the circuit

That's the other side of the coin, too, of course. I'm inclined to agree, not just as it's the path of least resistance. I'm going to go with that course, keeping a keen weather eye on the lights, just in case, though. If it happens again, then I'll be tracing the cause. The plan for this year on the Disco also includes renovating the roof lining, which will also be an ideal time to check the state of the wiring behind the trim, the state of the inside of the bodywork, and a few more things besides.
