2003 Disco 2 ES. No air, No ACE

This shock has done 7294 miles and has been fitted for 23 months. It is pouring out oil and offers no resistance at all. Its pair seems to be fine, though obviously have replaced both.

That’s why I call britpart, “shi1part” cause that’s exactly what they all are sub par cheaply manufactured tat. Don’t get me wrong, they have a place if you HAVE to use a part as a quick fix but every sh1tpart item I’ve used has either broken or worn out way before expected. Sorry about the shock, got warranty?

Not strictly true as the Brotpart cellular dynamics and springs are doing well on my son's Ninety, the same shocks are doing well on his D2. Failed miserably on my 90 as mentioned.
Brake calipers and discs doing well on the D2.
To be fair in over 10 years on four different vehicles I think my shocks are the only outright failures we have had.

Easier to chuck in the bin than try a warranty claim! Have fitted Terrafirma, like the front.

Britpart in my experience, used to be excellent. I ran a 300tdi for 100K and over 14 years until 2017, on mainly Britpart. It deceased with 165,000 on the clock without any premature failures. I replaced all the hydraulics, clutch, suspension, filters etc, even the Britpart exhaust lasted over 12 years!
On the D2, my Britpart front hubs are holding up so far, after 800 miles! However will be more wary in th future£
