Can anyone tell me if Drilling the standard roof rails to suit LR roof bars would work

how do you mean when you say drilling, are they a D2 fit or are you making some to fit?

I got a set of LR roof bars x3 but I don't have the holes drilled into my rails
So I was thinking of offering them up marking the two holes on either side of the bars onto the rail and then drilling them
