Thanks Sierraferry, that was the consensus I had come to reading all the threads. OK, a couple of FTC4822 NAK seals ordered. Lets see if I can get the old out and the new in without damaging anythingIt seams from some reports that the NAK branded ones are the only ones which are OK, e.g https://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/447980/2423/oil_seal_driveshaft__p38_new_range_rover... i didnt find them when i had this problem so my shafts were machined down with 0.5mm to not kill the seals after i replaced them 4 times in a month with all i've found including genuines so now i can fit all except NAK which might not be tight enough
You are right Griff I have already sussed that out. There's one spot on for the installation of the new seals.
