Have just done the front ball joints on my D2
What a huge difference in steering!!, it now goes where i want it to, more or less!
Funny thing was, althought there was a fair bit of wear, ive seen them far worse on cars, but with less effect
As for doing them, i seemed to have been reasonable lucky, i didnt experience any of the removal horrors that some have encountered, did the off side this morning, it took 90 minutes, big G clamp, bottle jack, and a blow lamp, no oxy/acetylene needed
I would suggest that anyone doing it does replace the drive shaft seal at the same time, they're £4 each, and would be silly not to at that price
