Hi there all after my disco was written off in a accident. I have. Bought a v8 3.9 disco on a 1994.
Well any way the problem is that it developed a fault off over fueling and one back fire and it shattered the cat on thè left hand bank off the engine sorted that problem out and it wouldn't start at all got it started by warming the plugs up on thè gas cooker it was almost like its over fueling on start up cured part off the problem by fitting a replacement air flow meter new stepper motor and checked all the vacuum pipes for splits sorted all off them replaced the ecu temp sensor.
I even reconected the vacuum pipe for the cruise control thinking that might cause it.
Any how I'm now in the dark again about it becUse now it try's to fire but can't quite get there and catch and run off any one has a 14cux code reader I wouldn't mind paying some beer tokens if Any one could pop over to read the ecu for me and point me in the right direction as to what might be wrong or could be wrong with it. The only other thing that I can do is clean up any earth leads on the wiring harness and see if that helps the problem thanks Micheal

It's ok just turn it over and you'll get the idea.

And/or crank it over and rotate the dizzy to see if it will.

I have had my v8 go mysteriously out of time, once definitely, another time I think.

Perhaps strip down the dizzy to make sure it's all good internally first.

If its got air, fuel and spark, it can only be a timing issue.
