So I was mucking around fixing up a temporary workaround for the broken wiper arm and I noticed that there was some perished tubing running from the back of the throttle assembly and runs through in through the body where the brake booster is.

Obviously it needs replacing, but what is it? I could pull it a little from where the booster was but didn’t want to pull too much. Haha.

Possibly a cruise control vacuum pipe leading to and terminating at the ‘dump valve’ that’s operated by the brake peddle, also with the clutch peddle, if u have one.

If not, then post a photo.

Makes sense, could be one of the reasons why it doesn’t work.
Thanks.
Ok there’s already lots of info on what to look for with non-functioning CC. Some helpful and some of it rubbish.
There a 7stage test that u can do while the ECU is unplugged but that after the vac hose has been checked for leaks or better still all of it replaced with silicone pipe.
I’ve spent two months off an on tracing/ testing for an intermittent fault, so I’ve been through the whole system.
