I polybushed my disco only to find about 6 months later the steering felt vague.
This turned out to be a worn out panhard rod bush but the steel sleeve was badly deformed and ovaled. The mounting bracket at the steering box end was fine with no wear or elongation at the bolt hole but the bolt was slightly worn.
Changed the complete rod to one with new standard bushes and new bolts three weeks ago and the same bush has went again!!
There is no play in the radius arms or steering box and the bush at the other end is perfect so I can't figure out what is causing this.
Wheel alignment is good and all track rod ends have been replaced and car drives in a straight line ok
