I’ve had a mechanical pump fitted to get past depressing EDC issues. Is it possible to now get the check engine light out so that the cruise will work?

I don't know how to get rid of the EML as the EDC ECU is missing the original pump's input but you can make the cruise control work by bridging the contact of the CC disable relay(K234) cos it's N/C and when he ECU detects a fault it energises it's coil as to cut the feed from the switch... or you can cut the black wire at the EDC ECU plug pin 4(this might extinguish the EML warning too)

Thank you, I’ll explore this tomorrow.
