D1 3door seat Is it buggered?

Ok my seat base had finally given up the ghost, but my question is this. The seat back doesn't want to stay up and I have an annoying bulge in the seat base (see picture) that seems effect the seat back. so is it buggered? Or do I just go and put in new foams and seat covers and carry on?

Help gratefully received
